Pet insurance can be extremely costly. You are probably better off setting aside funds in a rainy day fund to put toward future vet visits. When I worked at a vet clinic many people had discount plans like ‘Pet Assure’ which gave you a break on the bill right up front. They seemed to prefer it over traditional insurance and was cheaper.
